🏥 Let’s talk about a critical topic in the swine industry: health. But not the swine’s, yours! Did you hear that right? Do you hear us?? The wellbeing of everyone involved in a farm operation is key – and hearing loss is a huge concern. It can – thankfully – be prevented, however, and here’s how…  

    • The problem naturally comes with age, that much is true, but over time, cumulative hearing loss can be caused by exposure to a loud environment – common in agriculture, like working 40-50 years around loud machinery, equipment, and even (squeaky) animals. Sadly, it’s permanent!

🛡️ So here goes the tip: if you’re serious about protecting your ears, use foam earplugs and then, put headphones or earmuffs over them. That way, you’ll be fully protected! Also, be sure to keep ear plugs in pockets and headphones around your neck, until you need them.
