A much needed revamp! ๐
Nov 29, 2022๐ฌ๐ง Let’s focus on this revamp! In a report this week, the Public Accounts Committee says the UK is prioritizing the threat posed by animal diseases and a redevelopment project.
• According to them, after the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs has comprehensively failed with the UK's primary site for managing plant and animal disease threats at Weybridge, the government must get a grip on its crucial and much delayed redevelopment program.
• The redevelopment program is due to be completed in 2036.
โ ๏ธ The UK faces current and ongoing threats from bovine tuberculosis and potential new diseases including African swine fever (ASF) and rabies. So this is clearly a matter of national security that can’t be overlooked!
