A pumped-up act ⛽

📄 Filling up some tanks with ethanol rather than pouring the fuel on the fire, that’s the idea! The Senate apparently wants to resolve confusions at the gas pump, so the Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act was introduced this week. The bill would ensure permanent, full-market access to E15 – which of course, is in all producers’ best interests.

     • This comes as a result of several ag groups and the American Petroleum Institute having joined efforts to push forward the idea of permanent access to E15, thus ending confusion in the market due to blend limits that change throughout the year.

✅ The legislation would provide a permanent remedy to the problem on a national basis – a much needed relief, considering that ethanol is a critical part of the US’ energy security. To better understand the issue, read this.
