🇮🇹 Earlier this year, Italy's right-wing government proposed a bill to ban the production and import of cultured food and feed. Now, its agriculture minister has declared that lab-grown products are potentially dangerous for one's health and could never taste like natural meat or fish.

📃 The proposed ban has created quite a fuss among advocates of cell-based products, who claim that producing meat without breeding animals would mitigate climate change and limit greenhouse gas emissions. The minister, however, has rebuffed such criticism, claiming the animal industry was sustainable in Italy.
