British pigs are getting around

Total exports of pig meat from the UK saw a decrease of 3% compared to July and a year-on-year decrease of 9%. However… Exports are 8% higher than in the same period last year.

How’s the world moving?

• While shipments have grown overall, in China they have continued to decrease as the nation’s pig population recovers from ASF. 

• Shipments to the EU were 1% higher than last month – and the block has absorbed most of the lost trade from China.

• The Philippines have also seen increased volumes.
