Closing giant ๐ซ
May 25, 2023๐จ๐ฆ๐ท The Canadian company Olymel is closing a major pork processing plant in Quebec by the end of the year. That means they'll be laying off 994 workers… โAccording to Olymel, the reasons for their choice are labor shortages, the instability of export markets, and strong inflation (not to mention that this particular plant has outdated equipment and is located in a region where it's especially tough to find employees).
