Falling estimates ⬇️

🍁 Fall is almost over, but unfortunately, the charming orange leaves aren’t the only things that have fallen… So far, exports from Ukraine in the 2022/23 season are down 30.7% compared to the same stage in the previous season, and estimates are that production numbers will remain lower than previous records. 

  • The exports have slumped and global food prices have skyrocketed since the Russian invasion closed off Black Sea ports and, although a deal brokered by the UN and Turkey had unblocked them, Russia has recently backed out of the agreement.
