📱 A new kind of sandwich? That'd be delicious, but no. Still, the news is good: HotHog is a new app that predicts heat stress in pigs! It taps into local weather data to predict the relative comfort or heat stress levels of pigs on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis so that swine producers can then use this information to take preemptive measures.

• Heat stress in pigs costs lots to the US swine industry annually, so tackling the problem is vital for ensuring the welfare and productivity of pigs – now, even more so, considering global climate change. Thankfully, we have a leg up (and an app) on that!
