How good is the water? 💦

💧Have you and your pigs been staying hydrated? You see, water is the most essential nutrient for everyone – swine are no exception, of course! That’s why a new publication from the Iowa Pork Industry Center has looked into the quality of the water in swine barns and ways to establish parameters for it.

Keeping in mind that producers have been questioning water quality and ways for testing it, the study highlights the parameters pork producers should focus on when testing drinking water in pig barns, teaches how to better understand what their test results mean, explains recommendations and research results for specific substances, and shows possible mitigation strategies.
