Illegal pork 🥸🐷

🇹🇭⚠️ In a press release, the Thai Swine Raisers Association (SRA) has warned against the consequences of smuggling illegal amounts of pig products into the country. They stated that illegal amounts have been flowing into Thailand since 2022 and so far, the government hasn't been able to help farmers in the country. 

• Those illegal imports are reportedly from Brazilian, German, and Argentinian origins – and talks have been being conducted with the countries about it. Due to that illegitimate pork entering the market, farm gate pig prices have fallen – even though pig farmers did manage to accelerate production to meet domestic consumption. Read more about it here.
