Piglet thieves?

Two animal rights activists have been found NOT guilty after they were accused of taking two piglets from a Utah farm and filming the conditions inside.

Hadn’t heard of the situation?

In March, 2017, they allegedly entered Circle Four Farms in Milford, Beaver County – owned by Smithfield Foods, documented its conditions, and took two piglets that they claimed were sick.

  • Supporters gathered outside of the courthouse and celebrated the verdict, which they called “a landmark for animal rights”.

🤚But hold on!

  • In a statement, Smithfield said this verdict is very disappointing as it may encourage anyone opposed to raising animals for food to vandalize farms.

  • After the incident, audits were conducted and no evidence of animal mistreatment was found on the farms. As a matter of fact, the self-entitled “advocates” themselves risked the lives of the animals by violating the strict biosecurity perimeter of the farm..
