And everybody thought the Republicans were in for winning the majority of seats… But with the results in Arizona and Nevada, the Democrats are guaranteed to maintain control of the Senate. True enough, there is only one race remaining, the Georgia runoff on Dec. 6 – which will only determine whether the Senate Democrats control the Senate by 51-49 or 50-50. • However, Republicans will narrowly take control over the House of Representatives after winning 218 seats – the Democrats have won 210. There are seven House races still outstanding.
• It’s also noteworthy that Democratic incumbents were able to win in very tough races, including a number of members on the House Agriculture Committee.
