Problems along the road 🚚

⚠️ Caution: obstacles ahead! At least 12 Brazilian states have had their roads blocked by truckers, which could affect agricultural exports in one of the world's top food producers. 

• The trucks aren’t the only obstacles on the road, however – the protests are taking place after incumbent President Jair Bolsonaro lost in the elections against former President and ideological rival Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.  

🇧🇷 The political situation makes it difficult to predict how long the blockades could last. The good news is that key Brazilian ports and business partners have declared that their shipments haven’t been disrupted yet, but that could change if the stalemate persists.
