With that in mind, the Reciprocal Meats Conference, hosted by the American Meat Science Association, featured a talk on a survey that categorized people into five meat-buying approaches!

๐Those are fun names and all… But what are we, producers of pork, meant to take away from the study, exactly?
- First, that consumers are indeed interested in buying meat, despite recent trends.
- Second, each type of consumer resonates with a different type of message. So if we want to reach them – of course we do – we must modulate our approaches accordingly.
- Third, getting people to buy more pork is about getting to know them better – that’s to say applying surveys is a damn smart move.
