💻 There are many ways to do it… Funded by the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) and led by the Iowa State University (ISU), a standardized outbreak investigation instrument has been developed and is now available for download and use from the SHIC website (a web-based version will be launched this spring).

     • In short, the tool is a fillable form that can either be submitted to a program administrator at ISU or used for farm/system outbreak investigations without submitting. The point is to use every submission to strengthen a confidential database aimed to find industry trends and opportunities, learn from collective experiences, and strengthen industry-wide biosecurity.
