The beaten track 🛣

If we’re doing fine, there’s no point in wandering far off the beaten track, is there? That’s why during their October board meeting, the Swine Health Information Center (SHIC) Board of Directors voted to continue funding the Domestic Swine Disease Monitoring Report in 2023. 

• The program has been running since March 2018 and its updates on megatrends of disease agents have been helping protect the US and boost the health of pigs nationwide. 

Broadening the list of pathogens of the program was highlighted, and funding should continue to focus on prevention, preparedness, and response to novel and emerging swine diseases to benefit swine health in the US.
