This IS a drill

In Brazil, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) has presented the Contingency Plan for African Swine Fever. It’s a document with the principles, strategies, and procedures for the containment and eradication of outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF). 

• Should an outbreak happen in the country, a state of zoosanitary emergency would be declared by MAPA and the activities described in the contingency plans would be put into motion.

Attention all personnel, this IS a drill!!

🔍 To test the contingency plans and better prepare participants, MAPA and Companhia Integrada de Desenvolvimento Agrícola de Santa Catarina (Cidasc) will carry out a simulated exercise of action from November 19 to 26.
