Too prophetic? 😱

📃 The fate of the Farm Bill shall soon be decided… Too prophetic? Maybe, but the truth is that whoever controls the House could determine how things will go. 

  • The Farm Bill is a package of legislation that has a tremendous impact on farming livelihoods, the way food is grown, and what kinds of food are grown. It is renewed and revised every 5 years.

🇺🇸 As Republicans have now officially won control of the House, it's possible they could take an aggressive approach on altering the food stamp program, which would most likely cause the farm bill not to be enacted. 

  • The bill depends on the funding level for food and nutrition – that takes up around 85% of all farm bill spending.
