War casualties ❌🪖

🇷🇺🐷 A pig farm in the Russian region of Belgorod operated by Agro Belogorie (one of the largest pork producers of the country) was hit by a kamikaze drone attack and shelling. The farm was located near the Ukrainian border and sustained substantial damage – a total of 178 pigs were killed and 100 more were wounded. 

     • The company has declared it plans on putting the facility back into operation as soon as possible.

🧑‍🌾 Some pig farmers in the region fear the escalation of the conflict. While this is the first time a Russian industrial pig farm has been affected by the hostilities, the Ukrainian Association of pig producers calculated that its industry had lost 10% of its pig population on industrial farms last year.
