Dr. Dan Columbus
Dan completed his PhD at the University of Guelph under the supervision of Dr. Kees de Lange after which he was a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. Teresa Davis at the USDA/ARS Children’s Nutrition Research Centre in Houston, Texas. In 2015,Danjoined the Prairie Swine Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan as the Research Scientist in nutrition. He is also Adjunct Professor in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science at the University of Saskatchewan. His research program focuses on the interaction between nutrition and pig health, factors affecting nutrient metabolism, and the incorporation of alternative feedstuffs, feeding programs, and technologies in swine production.Dan’s research also utilizes the pig as a model for both swine production and human health, with studies examining the role of birth weight and neonatal nutrition on piglet development and long-term outcomes.

Kansas State University
Dr. Joel DeRouchey, with a Ph.D. in Swine Nutrition from Kansas State University, is a Professor focusing on Swine Nutrition. Originating from a diverse livestock background, his roles have evolved from Extension Specialist to a balance of Extension and Research appointments. With significant contributions including mentoring graduate students, applied research, and environmental guidance for livestock producers, he's authored numerous publications and been recognized with the "40 Under 40 in Agriculture" award. An advocate for agricultural education, Joel is actively involved in youth livestock programs and resides with his family near St. Mary's, KS.
Dr. Xuerong Song
Wuhan Sunhy Biology Company
She graduated from the Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Science with a PhD in animal nutrition. Now, she is the global technical director of Wuhan Sunhy Biology Company, responsible for technical support for overseas markets. She participated in the development of phytase specially used for aquatic animals. She has obtained 1 national fund, 3 provincial funds, published 7 high impact factor SCI articles and has been recognized as a provincial high-level talent in 2020 and Wuhan city advanced talent in 2021. And, she was invited to be the guest professor of Huazhong Agriculture University in 2022.

Dr. Ashley Wagner, holding a Ph.D. in Equine Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Kentucky, has significantly contributed to the field with her expertise in Nonruminant Nutrition. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences and a Master's degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. With over nine years of experience as a Technical Sales Manager, she currently excels as the Director of US Business & Technical Sales at Probiotech International Inc.
Dr. Emily Otto-Tice
Lucta
Dr. Emily Otto-Tice, with a Ph.D. in Non-ruminant Nutrition from Purdue University, is the Technical Sales Account Manager at Lucta. Her career spans over 25 years, initially as a herdsman and farrowing manager, then in R&D with United Animal Health, followed by advocating for Indiana’s pork producers. Before joining Lucta in 2022, she served as a Senior Swine Nutritionist at Purina Animal Nutrition. Emily contributes to sustainable livestock feeding solutions and resides near Ames, Iowa with her family, actively participating in community and agricultural youth programs.
